"You'll one day come to find very quickly, that life is not about the birds and the bees and the flowers and trees. It's about BILLS." Back then I had an idea of what she was talking about, for as long as i can remember my parents has had to struggle with them. ...but i didn't quite get it until today when i'm talking to my dad about the things i have to pay for, insurance... car payment, registration, etc... it's overwhelming and if anything the feeling of devastation is there, just knowing the money i'm working for now, will be gone. i really have to change my attitude about that though. got to stop fighting it and just accept it, and deal with it. by golly, i have to GROW UP! lol this sucks.

whew long nap

I got home today feeling absolutely exhausted around 6 and woke up around 8 something. I guess I'm just not used to the whole getting up at 5 then working for 8 hours straight. Hopefully I'll get used to it because this feeling sucks lol just being so tired after work. ...and not feeling like doing anything once I get home except to eat and sleep. hm... work is not hard but the work I do is very tedious and it's become very redundant but yeah, it's not difficult. It's just the same thing over and over. Tomorrow I HAVE to remember to bring my headphones because not having any music to listen to while I search for offices all day make the day soooo much longer.

..and things are happening even faster

So after accepting the job offer I was really happy because now I can actually buy and pay for things that I want as well as need without having to turn to Mom and Dad for the money. As I mentioned, yesterday, I got a cellphone and today... I just paid the downpayment for a car. Yep, a 91' Chevy Cavalier from my Dad's friend who also happens to be a mechanic. I can basically pay him any time I want as little or as frequent as I wish, because he's a close family friend but I plan on giving him at least $50 a month. It's cool too because if anything goes wrong with the car I can just ask him to fix it with no charge. (I just REALLY hope nothing goes wrong) Me and Dad changed my computer desk because it was too big and took up too much space here in the room. We've replaced it with a smaller one and I threw away a lot of junk that I didn't even know I still had (papers from freshman year, plastic wrappers from games/software, etc...) It was just a big mess when I had to take everything out/off the desk so we can put this new one in. No, I didn't buy a new desk, this was sitting in the shed for awhile and my Dad and I decided I should utilize it. So yeah... that's basically what happened today. I spent most of the day cleaning up the mess that I made. Tomorrow my first day at work! I'm really excited, I hope all goes well.

Back once again...

The last entry was made by Robert himself (as if you couldn't tell) ...and I haven't written after that (if that wasn't obvious either). So much has happened I won't even try to start from the day after he wrote that entry.

Let's see... what happened today. Ah yes, I got a cell phone. My own cellphone. ..and the plan is under my name. So miss a payment and there goes my credit, hello real world! :) Oh I guess it'll be appropriate to tell you how I am able to afford this.

On June 19, 2006, (Monday) I decided to post an AD at http://www.craigslist.com stating that I am a graduate with little experience and looking for a job. Some hours later I get an email from a director of Office Broker. They are a big company in the UK and they've just opened a new branch here in the US. Anyway, yeah he emailed me asking when I'd be available to do a phone interview. I told him that I'd be available anytime. ...and he suggested 5 O'clock that same day. So we had the phone interview. Near the end of the phone call he told me that I should expect a call back from him some time the week after next week because he's going on vacation next week. Tuesday I went to take my accuplacer test for college and when my dad went to pick me up he told me that I got a call asking for a face-to-face interview. Yep, turns out he changed his mind and wanted an interview sooner than expected. So Tuesday afternoon at 4 something he called and we set up a meeting for 2 o'clock the following day. So Wednesday I went in to the office suite on the 3rd floor. I was actually a bit early maybe like 1:30 I was there already. So we had the interview and he asked me to fill out a job application. I only filled in the critical info like my full name, social security number, home phone, etc... As for my experience, skills, and other stuff I told him that I'd just foward my resume since it's all there. He said that he still had a few more interviews to do that day and the next day but he should be able to make a decision by the next day and I should expect to hear from him then with his decision. So before 3 o'clock the next day I got his call telling me that Office Broker has hired me.

So Monday, it will be my first day as an Administrative Assistant.

Roberts Vacation in Texas part IV Roberts secert arrangement

I woke up this morning thinking that sharon left without telling me so just decided to take a shower. Im next to her door and I hear her typing and comp fiddling which she usually does so i walk in say good morning she relpies not with a good moring but u takin a shower i say yeah she asks me if i could figure it out. I reply with a simple yeah get my stuff and go only to realize that her shower was like a damn Rubix cube it took me a while. But i got all that done then get to THE CHORES. i have to transport all files from one computer to the other i did about half of it and called it a day due to problems that we were trying to fix till midnight. then before you no it shes back from school and i get her all to myself again. so we hang out for a little bit and were bored lookin for stuff to do and it comes up again and half way the same results even though i listened to her advice im have like 11 dollars and it wanna flip the board and she says lets switch everything so she comes form 11 dollars to a few grand bt eventually i wind up beating her eventually so we have some ice cream bored as ever we agree that we should take a walk. She invites her family they decline so were alone. i think it was around 7:30 when we left so we had to be back bye 8o'clock the original plan was to get her some coffee and a hot cocoa for me but we were gettin distracted because i made a short movie which i will call "city boy released in the wild" then we had a talk about her and me then she showed me the proper technique for holding hands. It was getting dark so we were heading back so we were jogging for like ten steps and then saw it was best just to walk we made it back in time so no one got in touble. then we were lookin at my photos that i have on my phone and movies and made on of our own. This is were the title comes in We had the slow peaceful walk around the neghibor hood then had a couple more laughs and THE POWER GOES OUT and it was dinner time so we enjoyed some fine Fillipino cuisine over a candle light spread eating with mans first you tensils jsut glad i washed up and while we were eating she asked me if i had anythig to do with this i told her it would be funny if the lights turn back on when we finish and thats just what happened so now she thinks i set up the whole thing down to the power outage. Now we end the day as we started trying to transfer all the files and then she asked me to write this blog because she's already half asleep. she is cute in her jammies

Robert's Vacation in Texas - Part III - Monopoly

I figured I'd title the blog entry titles more specifically so that they'll look more interesting. :) Me and Robert played monopoly for a few hours, I guess you can say I won but technically Robert still hasn't been bankrupt because he just resigned. I was supposed to edit the last entry but it's 12:55 right now and I can't remember. Eh, I'll edit it tomorrow when I can ask Robert what to edit. I have school tomorrow (well... today). It's cool because tomorrow I go to school for the whole day but Tuesday through Friday I don't have to be in school until 12:30 because of TAKS testing and I get to go home at 2:05. Today (err yesterday) we found out that Robert is leaving on the 25th. That's like 2-3 days longer than we were expecting. What else happened... oh, Robert helped my Dad install the AC. We also went to Walmart and Robert got an MP3 player and a couple of DVDs (oh and Dad's and my hair ties). This is starting to turn into a Robert blog... ah well. I'll start talking more about me tomorrow, right now i'm too tired and should go to sleep :)

Note to self:
May have to edit this entry tomorrow.

Robert's Vacation in Texas - Part II

Today I started the morning as usual with my cup of coffee. At around 11:30 Robert and I tried to get the 2nd computer online and get the router working. So after installing the new ethernet card that he bought for me and after contacting SBC's customer service we were able to get it online! Then I followed the instructions to the router and IT WORKED! For the next hour I visited some of my online priorities and Robert played chess.

During that hour my uncle and aunt calls and asks if we wanted to go somewhere or something and to just call them back at a later time when we're ready to go. I suggested that we go bowling to Robert and he was more than willing to do that. So after using the computers we sang some karaoke, yes I said we. I sang 'Tears In Heaven', 'All or Nothing', and 'Words' and he sang 'I Can Love You Like That' and 'Back At One'. That was fun :) Then after that I called my uncle and suggested we go bowling and about a half hour later he picked us up. The first two shots that I threw I knocked down zero pins lol but I sort of got the hang of it. In the end of the last game the scores were Robert: 121 Uncle Lito: 123 Me: 113 and Aunte Helen: 88. That was great fun. My uncle brought us to a billiard place afterwards but we couldn't get in because a)i didn't have my ID on me and b)Robert is underage lol See, if it was after May 9th then he'd be legal but eh, doesn't really matter we had fun :)

It's so cool that I am able to be online while my Dad is on the other computer playing mahjong at the same time. A little earlier Robert, me, and my parents played Rummy. At first Dad was beating all of us but at the end, it was him that was shuffling (he had to 3x in a row) See, loser shuffles hehe. One of those, actually was when Robert and Dad got a tie score and the tie breaker was pick a card and lower number shuffles. Robert pulled a jack and I think my Dad pulled a 5. Nothing's really planned for tomorrow but I guess we're all just going to go with the flow. It's gonna be Easter ...and it's Serene Distraction's one year anniversary! That is so exciting. :) Well, it's getting really late, I think I should turn in for the night.

Robert's vacation in Texas - Part I

Last night was one emotional and adventure filled night. Me and my Dad went to DFW to pick up Robert. Thinking that he was landing in with Southwest Airlines. Already thinking we were going to be late a police officer pulled us over. We were using my uncle's truck and apparently he has a tail-light that's out. My Dad told me to go into the glove compartment to get the insurance but I couldn't figure out how to open it because I wasn't used to them opening from the top of the dash board down. After the police officer cleared us we asked him where Southwest Airlines land and he tells us that they don't land @ DFW and that we had to go to Love Field Airport. So me and my Dad went there. At this time it was like 11:30 already. After running (well, speed walking) all over Love Field Airport I finally came across a security personnel and he let me use his cell phone. So then I called the house and my mom picked up and she told me that Robert called and that he was at ATA and waiting at baggage claim. So we had to go all the way back to DFW. When we arrived at DFW it was like 12:30 and I got out of the truck. About a minute later I hear someone yell out my name. I didn't know where to look though and the next thing I see is Robert running with his red drawstring bag and duffel bag (looking like a marine Hoo-rah! -Robert) Then after exchanging hugs we got into the truck and headed back home. Dad was getting kind of lost leaving the airport but around 1:20 we made it into Daffodil Drive. My mom offered Robert some chicken and rice and eventhough he wasn't hungry to be polite he accepted. I was ready to pass out but he managed to keep me up till past 2. We're going to go bowling later. So... that'll be another entry along with what has already happened today. :)

Robert's vacation in Texas

Last night was one emotional and adventure filled night. But that's alright I guess. It's Friday night and I've got no school for the whole week next week, (woohoo!) ;D I'm feeling icky today though. I've got a cold, with the whole runny nose, slight fever, and icky-feelingness. I'm no longer burning up but I feel hot and I'm constantly dabbing my forehead/face with a cool face cloth (because that's the only thing that seems to make me feel better). I've taken a cold medicine (two of those gel capsule things). I think I'm going to get a bit drowsy in a moment or two. I had a precal test today. It should have been easy because it was all multiple choice, but... yeah I dont think I passed. There are two more (well less than two actually) 6 weeks to go. I should be able to make it through. It's terrifying to think about though. Soon I'm going to have to face the real world of bills, stress, and such. I don't think I'm ready. I want to stay 15 forever. No I take that back, I hated being 15. Eh, maybe I'm ready to face the real world. I'm so indecisive aren't I? That's what makes me a Libra. I really should try to keep track of my daily happenings. So many stuff happen (no matter how insignificant they may be) and I know I'd want to look back 2+ years from and say "Wow... that really happened?" It's funny looking back at my old journals/diaries/notebooks/and other misc. writings. Sometimes I find myself in tears (yeah... I'm sensitive like that) because I'm overwhelmed with the stuff I wrote about and the emotions just come flooding back. I still get embarrassed when I remember the stuff I used to get embarrassed about, I still get mad when I read about the stuff that used to make me mad. Well no, not really. It makes me sad actually when I realize the things that used to make me mad. I like to say that I've got no regrets in life. Truth is, I've simply accepted those regrets. Just because I no longer "regret" some of the things I've done, I can still say that I'm disappointed in myself that I let those things happen. Yes I'm being vague and I'm keeping it that way. (Besides, I know what I'm talking about).

Have you ever wondered about alzheimer's disease? What if the only people who get that are the people who think too much, and stress too much about the things they wish to forget that they cause themselves to get that condition? It's just a theory. I'm no scientist (and I really don't aim to be one) so I guess it doesn't really matter what my theory is eh? Alright, I think that medicine is kicking in. I'm gonna go. Till next time.

Just another Tuesday night

After I type this entry my aim is to finish my precalculus homework. I'm also trying to find a way to conveniently display my photography in my site but not having much luck there either. I'm listening to Anna Nalick's cd right now. Economics, we had a quiz. Got a 90 on that. then I had BCIS, did the usual book work there. then I had W. Geography... we've got a test on Tuesday on religions. shouldn't be too bad but i know i should review.

i was just looking at my files and i found out that i have 635MB of free space left.. i got to clean out this computer and make more space. ..meaning i have to upload my graphic designs into my photobucket account and delete whatever files i don't need.

ah, had a random thought there for a second. i have this challenged that set up for myself. the challenge it to read 100 books in a year. impossible? maybe. but i'm still attempting it. so far i've read 11 books. i started on the 8th of December so that's... 50 days, so i've got... 315 days to read.. 89 books. geez...

So many things to do... so little time management.

Have you ever woken up in the morning thinking, "this day is gonna be BAD"? Well that's what I was thinking this morning but it didn't turn out so bad. See, I had an English test today and I didn't study. I am sooo glad that the teacher didn't give us an essay or 'fill in the blanks'. The whole test was on scantron (multiple choice) so I'm pretty sure I passed for I was able to answer a lot of the questions through process of elimination. Oh and we didn't have a quiz in precalculus so that was good too! Chemistry... we're doing balancing equations, yeah, I don't understand it, but I hope I'll find the motivation tonight to look it over and see if I can get the light bulb to illuminate. If not, ah, I'll figure something out. We had a chess meeting today, sort of. It was supposed to be a "mandatory" meeting but the sponsor wasn't there and... i think only 6 people showed up. Man, I wish people voted me for VP, the person that got the majority vote doesn't even show up most of the time. (I lost that election by 2 votes!) Ah well... doesn't matter I guess. I'm planning on taking the driving test (permit test whatever it is) the next day we don't have school. It should be some time soon. I really got to start reading that driving manual thing. It's just everytime I open that thing I get bored and I get sleepy just reading it. I still haven't organized my folders for English and Economics. I really need to that. I also need to organize my papers and clean out my junk in my cabinets here at the computer desk (I tend to stuff things thinking I'll organize it later) I have a strong feeling that I won't be able to organize these cabinets until summer. hm... I'm hungry now, so I'll just end this here and have dinner.

quick entry here

At the moment I'm listening to Kelly Clarkson's "Beautiful Disaster". In MHS we have a block schedule (A-days and B-days).

On A-days I have... Economics, BCIS, and World Geography. Economics is alright. I'm not complaining about that class. The work isn't overwhelming (not yet anyways) and I hope it stays that way. The teachers nice but not a push over either which is cool. BCIS... computers class, I love that class, the work is easy and I get to have extra time if I need it to study or finish up an assignment or something for my next class which is world geography. World Geography... now that's a challenging class. It's a pre-AP class and so the teacher gives out a bit of work but reasonably of course. She usually gives us enough time to finish our work during class. I like her method of "No Late Work" it makes me want to be less lazy.

On B-days I have... English IV, Pre-calculus, and Chemistry. English IV is great. The work is ok, not super easy but nothing confusing or anything. In the beginning of the year I was really intimidated by my teacher (actually, i think I still am a bit) but I've gotten a little comfortable in the class that I feel like I can actually go up to her and ask her a question if I'm absolutely clueless about something. Which is so not the case for precalculus.... my teacher in that class isn't mean or anything (she's nice actually) I know I won't find the answer to anything if I don't ask but I'm always afraid to ask and be given an answer and still not understand. I do try to go for extra help though by going to tutorials in the morning sometimes (specifically if there's a test coming up or something). Chemistry... that used to be one of my best classes but I'm slowly slipping I think. I've got a 83 average right now which is such a drop from my usually 90 and above. I wonder if i'm gonna be able to bring it up. I guess I'll just have to see and try to pay attention.

I still have this kink in my back. The soreness has moved up from my left shoulder blade to my neck and upper arm. I asked my mom from this Tiger Balm stuff. It worked for awhile but now it's starting to get sore again. I think I got to apply more. This stuff may smell a lil strange but it works!

Two in a row!

Oh look at this, I'm writing two days in a row! Amazing huh? Yeah... Let's see, what to write about. I have this sharp pain in my left shoulder blade area. It hurts to sit still but it hurts even more to move. I don't know why it's hurting, I didn't fall or lifted anything heavy. It's weird because it only started hurting like an hour ago. Eh, I'm sure this isn't anything a warm shower won't help.

I'm listening to BoyzIIMen right now... the Evolution album. "I'm Doin' Just Fine" is playing. The lyrics are really nice. I kind of wish I had someone to dedicate this song to since the lyrics are so good but yeah I haven't anybody that betrayed me or crushed me.

Some of the lyrics:
"There was a time when I thought life was over and out when you went away from me, my dying heart made it hard to breathe. Would sit in my room because I didn't want to have to go out and see you walking by, one look and I'd break down and cry. Now you say you made a big mistake. Never meant to take your love away. Sick and tired of your apologies, it may seem hard to believe but... I'm... I'm doin just fine getting along very well without you in my life, (I don't need you in my life) but I'm, I'm doing just fine, time made me stronger you're no long in my mind."

My Mom is trying to set me up with this guy... I wouldn't entirely mind if only he would approach me and actually TALK to me. but no, my Mom says that he's too shy and I'd have to approach him first. I'm sorry but I am definitely not the type of person to initiate any conversation. I think she (as well as every other relative I have) thinks that I'm not willing to because I already have a "boyfriend". His name is Robert, and he calls me more or less every other day to see what I'm up to and what-not. See, he lives in Providence, Rhode Island. (He's the boy that I was referring to in my last entry, and of how some of my relatives think that it's because of him I want to move back to Massachusetts.) Robert's cool and all, he's my best friend, he's an important part of my life, but I just don't feel for him that way.

I think I'm crushing on someone though. It's so weird... we've all gone through it at least once in our lives. you know that feeling like you have to hold your breath every time you see someone walking in the room? ...or when you're doing your work and you look from the corner of your eyes just to see their back turn to you but you still have that fuzzy feeling inside almost a feeling of content just being in the same room. Oh and when you're looking straight in their direction and they turn their head towards you and you immediately look in the opposite direction (or down) to avoid eye contact? *sighs* ...or when you FINALLY get the chance to look up and meet thier eyes for a nanosecond and you smile to yourself as you see them divert their eyes because for a moment you can pretend that they were looking at YOU and not just in your direction. Oh but his eyes... they're so dark! ..and small, and CUTE! ..but not chinese-like small, like... Josh-Hartnett-kind of small. ...and them dimples! oh my gosh... when he smiles! ..and his messy hair... it's like Tidus' from Final Fantasy X only darker hair! Have we ever talked? Not really... very briefly. No more than 1 minute per conversation (if you can call em that) i just can't help thinking about his eyes though... it's like every time we make eye contact it pierces through me ahhhh i gotta stop this mushy stuff!

I was just reading my past entries here... I noticed that I mentioned my forum Serene Distraction a bit. The site is going really well I think. I think in total I have had over 100 members but periodically I delete members account who haven't posted anything. I've got 97 members now but on the 28th I'm gonna delete member accounts with zero post counts. We've recently just passed the 1000 total topics count and passed the 7000 total posts count. I think that's really really good. I'm so glad that I started this site last April... I hope the forum will last for years to come.

I started a new forum in... November I think? It's a Chess forum. It's not as successful as SD but I think it looks cool. Chess Tips Online I noticed that I mentioned Chess in my earlier entries as well. I am in the Chess Club actually in school. We're in the middle of a Chess tournament that started in December. It's a best of 2 out of 3 set up per round and I've gotten passed 2 rounds (the second round was LONG) and the 3rd round is going to start this Thursday, (depends if the person I'm playing is gonna be there or not). As far as school activities go I also joined the Writing Club.

What else did I write about... oh you know my dog Lucky? yeah... he died. We think he got food poisoned because my Dad said that there were bubbles out of his mouth when he found him in the morning. Which really bites, because I was quite proud to say that I owned a dalmatian. (never mind the fact that he was deaf) Teddy is really big now. I should post a picture some time. He's still sweet and loves to get his belly scratched.

Well this has been a long entry, I think I'm gonna stop here. Till next time!

Changing Plans

Wow! It's been a WHILE since I last written in here. Well, that's nothing new. I've got several diaries/sketchbooks/journals/notebooks that can show you how inconsistent I am with recording my daily/weekly/& even monthly happenings. I'll try and do better (then again, that's what I always say.) *shrugs* eh, whatever. So what's been going on with me? Well, since I last wrote, MANY things have been going on but I can't possibly write everything here in one go. ...but I guess the major thing that I've been thinking about is college.

The original plan was to finish high school here then move to Massachusetts to further my education but like most plans of mine, they change. Turns out I'm going to be hanging here for the next couple (maybe even few) years. It depends on how long I get my associates. While working towards that, I'm guessing I'm going to have to get a job (minimum wage most likely) probably on campus. Maybe I'll be able to save a little bit of money and after I get my associates hopefully I'll be able to get a some what decent job, save up more money and then transfer to Massachusetts and hopefully I'll be able to then work towards getting my bachelors.

So why am I so set on going to Massachusetts? Well it's not because of a boy like some of my relatives like to assume for some reason. I've moved a lot (especially during freshman year) and I've always preferred New England weather. Yes, it gets blistering cold but that's what heaters are for. Here in Texas, it gets cold but it NEVER snows (well, it's VERY rare) ...and most of the time it's just ice anyway. The summers are wayyyy too hot here. Plus, they're not very big on public transportation here. I guess it would help if I knew how to drive so I can actually go places instead of staying cooped up here in the house but yeah, I haven't gotten around to that yet. But it's not only because of the weather and public transportation that I'm thinking about. I guess some where in my mind I've planted the idea that Massachusetts is the only place that I have somewhat felt some kind of security. Maybe it's because of the fact that it's the state that I lived in longest ...or maybe it's because of the friends that I look forward to reuniting with when I finally get up there.

People say that your school friends no longer matter after you graduate and everyone will be too busy living their own lives. Yes, that worries me to an extent especially the fact that I haven't seen some of my friends for at least a couple of years and it's been several months since I last heard from most of them. Maybe I'm riding on false hope that everything will be 'almost perfect' later down the line where I will have a good job, a nice home, and great close friends to hang with on the weekends. Yes I think about it some times, and most of the time I just push the thought away because in all honesty, I don't want to think about it. I only have so much that's motivating me and I gotta hold on to any motivation I can grasp because I don't want to be waiting for things to happen for me forever.

Right, I'm gonna go now... perhaps I'll write in this next year, maybe. ;)

Back to reality...

It's been awhile since I've returned from the road trip. The main reason why I haven't written in here is because, well, honestly it's because I've been lazy but the next main reason is because I am back in school. The road trip was fun for the most part. I should have written how I felt about the whole thing sooner when I remembered everything better but that's ok I guess. I am a lot closer to my cousins now I think. My gosh, it's so hot right now. Let's see... school... it's going ok, no serious complaints here, not yet anyway. I am having a bit of trouble in Pre-calculus class but hopefully I won't be so insecure in the subject soon. English is ok, the teacher intimidates me a little. No not intentionally I just feel that way for some reason. I like Chemistry, I mean I feel comfortable in that class and all but some times I wish the teacher wouldn't be so lenient. I'm not doing as well as I'd like in US Government. I mean, I know I'm not into politics but I hope I'll get it together in that class in the future. BCIS (basic computers) is kind of boring but hopefully because all we do is type. I like to type don't get me wrong but it's just sometimes the program has us typing things that doesn't make sense like, "Zen is sad; she saw Zack." I don't know, I guess I just find it a little pointless sometimes. I like World Geography. I am very slow at plotting absolute locations but yeah, I like the class. That's pretty much it about school. Some time I aim to join some afterschool activities like Chess maybe. We'll see.

The Puppies....

Teddy is very easygoing and laid-back (like me!) I swear he's a cat sometimes because he loves to go on his own sometimes and observe. A lot of the time Teddy is running away from Lucky because Lucky likes to play bite.

Lucky is very hyper when awake. When he is sleepy, he loves to cuddle. ...and when he is asleep is dead as a doorknob. If you bang drums, blast the radio, or anything like that he won't even flinch. I mean, sure... he's deaf but still. Seriously speaking though, he is deaf. I read somewhere that 11% of reported Dalmatians are deaf. I guess he adds on to that percentage.

Kikai is my cousin Lamerlyn's puppy. (Teddy's sister) She is very sweet like her brother. However, Kikai doesn't take crap from Lucky and bites back :)

What's going on with me? Well... on the 4th, Thursday... we ("the cousins") are taking a road trip to Maryland. I still want to go on the trip because I enjoy my cousins' company. It's just... I thought the plan was, we were going to Maryland then to Massachusetts and from there back here. We probably won't be able to because of budget reasons. Because of that, I kind of lost some excitement for the trip. But, oh well. I guess I can try and just believe... "It's not the destination but the journey that really counts".

I am back online

My laptop crashed on me once again. I went to get it repaired but now I can't get it online. The "computer guy" is too hard to talk to, so I've pretty much given up. (This was a month ago) between then and now, we moved into a new house (in the same city) I’ve got a new puppy, his name is Lucky. A Dalmatian, (pure bred but blind) born June 4, 2005. Will add pictures later.

I spent the last 3 days at my cousin Marylou's house. When I came back I found out that my Uncle dropped off two puppies. He was passing through Wal-Mart when he saw these people giving away free puppies. My cousin Lamerlyn decided to keep one of 'em (the female one) and we're going to keep the other one (male). They are half German Shepard and half Rottweiler. Will add pictures of them later too.

i hate mosquitos

ugh, i got bitten by mosquitos today. one on my left arm and one on my FACE! what kind of stupid mosquito would want to suck the blood out of the area just under left temple, what the heck! grrrr...

<---EVIL!!!

wow... someone's slacking...

I took the SAT last weekend. That was fun. (no, not really) I felt sick that morning because I ate breakfast. I don't know why but when I eat breakfast real early in the morning I end up feeling sick a couple of hours later. So weird. Anyway, I don't think I did my best on the test, I think I'm gonna take it again when school starts again because I know I wasn't as prepared as I wanted to be.

The Serene Distraction Forum got upgraded a couple of days ago. There are a few gliches that the owner of Proboards have to work out, e.g. time accuracy and avatar preview. After most if not all the bugs are fixed, I'm going to invite people again.

Ok, it's really hot right now, and I am really tired. (and it's not even 9 yet) oh, that's probably because I woke up around 4:30 - before 5ish and I couldn't go back to sleep. ...and I didn't go to sleep last night until past 12. If only I had known that it's going to take 4-6 weeks to get the actual card, I would have gotten one 2 months ago. Dad is insisting that they'll accept the paper with the ID information they gave me. I wish I thought about getting a school one before, grr...

I decided to play chess today. Don't really know why, but yeah I logged into yahoo and played chess. I won a couple of games, though I was insecure as usual while playing. I don't know why, but when I'm playing chess, I'm always like that. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing in the opening, a gain a little confidence in the middle and feel insecure again once the end game appears. (hm... sorry if you don't know "chess talk" I'm sure I didn't lose you that badly.)

I went to Serene Distraction and saw the 24 hour notice thing for the V4 update. I'm really excited because it's supposed to make it a lot better for the members to use the forum and a lot easier to manage the boards. (not that I'm having any problems managing the boards)

I was reading last night, this book is called "Sam's Letters to Jennifer" it's a really sad book, I'm really getting into it. I'm almost finished with it actually. I think I'm going to try to finish it tonight so I can return my books to the library so I can pick out a new book for Saturday. Then again, would I really want to spend my break time reading? Do I even have a choice?

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://sharon06.blogspot.com/2005/06/id-chess-reading.html' title='ID... Had to babysit today. My little cousin Samantha is 4 years old and she cannot stay silent for 3 minutes. We went to the library today. She got bored so I decided to bring her there since there's toys and stuff. We stayed there for about an hour. I even signed out a couple of books for her so she has something to "read." After an hour of TV she decided she wanted me to read to her. So yeah, before she left I read them to her.
I am poofed, I think I'm gonna go to bed now.

Cookout

So yeah I was just talking with my friend Robert. He told me that he met my "look alike". See, there's this restaurant in Rhode Island called "Texas Road House" and I went there one day with my brother and his fiance. Our waitress asked me if I worked there and when I said no, she said that she thought I looked like someone who does. After we ordered I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. On the way one of the other waiters said hi to me, I thought he was just being friendly. So I was washing my hands when another waitress went in to fix her hair. I forgot what she was saying, something about being tired or something, anyway she was fixing her hair and she was talking to me like she knew me and there I was just smiling at her and nodding. Then I think a couple of weeks later, I'm not sure, Robert tells me that his mom saw my "look alike". Ever since then I always wanted to meet this girl, just to see if there really is any resemblance. So today, Robert told me that he met her while he was working (he works at taco bell) drive-thru and she drove up they talk a little bit, then she offered him a ride home since his shift was soon over. She gave him her number. Robert says that she hasn't picked up yet. I really hope that he can get in contact with her, I want to meet her! lol Robert said something kind of wrong today. He said that he kind of want to kiss her, to see if it would feel like the real thing. Then I told him asked him, what makes him think that he's going to get a chance to feel the "real thing" then he said something like "it may not be the best one but at least i'll feel one."

So let's see, what else happened today, oh I went to Ate Malou's place because she had a cookout, we went swimming, actually i walked in the water (i don't know how to swim) and we played volleyball (with a beach ball) but the girls didn't know how to swim very well (if at all) so we had a hard time moving in the water, but that didn't last long because the ball hit one of the point plants nearby and it made a tiny whole in the ball. Afterwards we ate and me, Ate Malou, and Ate Negi went to the Spa to soak in the jacuzzi for a little bit, that thing was awesome. At first it feels so hot and it feels like it may not be a good idea to get in, but once you're in there wow, it's like heaven.

I was reading last night. I read a short story called "The Girl With the Blackened Eye" another short story by joyce carol oates. This story is so good, it's sad but GOOD. If you have time to kill you should go to your library or nearby bookstore, just take 30 minutes reading this story.

Simple Escape

Last night a read a short story by joyce carol oates. It was called "Three Girls". It was interesting. What I found fascinating about the story is that I was able to relate to the part of where the story was located. Not so much, for it being set in New York but more of the fact that it was set in a used book store. Today after lunch I wrote something and I called it "Simple Escape"
I don't entirely know why I wrote it. It just came out and I thought I was just rambling about nothing but it turned out pretty well. I didn't really edit much besides what Microsoft Word checked. ...and no, it wasn't much.

hm, nothing much to say about today. I was sitting here watching a lot of TV. I think too much. (wait, is that possible? too much TV?) I saw "Serendipity", "Down To Earth", "Pretty Woman", and now "Stepmom" is on. Dad paid back the money he owed me. This morning he was in a rush because he was late for work. My brother was on the phone so it was like 7 o'clock in the morning when my Dad handed me the phone. I was talking with my brother half asleep. :)

Don't Bash on Pop Music

I am listening to Kelly Clarkson's CD "Break Away". The song I'm listening to is called "You Found Me." This song reminds me a lot of Michelle Branch. That is probably because it was written with songwriter John Shanks. You know there are people out there who say they despise "Pop" music and most of them say because the artist(s) are "fake". I listen to pop music because of the music. What some people don't realize is that those songs that they "hate" so much were created by REAL songwriters and that it isn't simple. I mean, really, have YOU ever tried to write a song? If yes, you probably know how hard it really easy. If you have never tried it, then you probably don't have interest in writing music. Personally, I think that if you've never tried to write a song then you have no right to judge a song. ...and if you've never gone on stage and sung to thousands, hundreds, or even 30 people then you definitely have no right to judge other "pop" artists. Don't get me wrong, every one is entitled to their own opinion. All I'm trying to say is, if you don't like pop music then fine, don't like it, but don't bash on it either.

I was trying to work on my website today. It's so quiet in there nowadays. I don't know what to do. I mean there are probably about 4 of us who are regular posters and others who simply pop in once in awhile. If you are reading this right now, you better be a member of Serene Distraction cause I mean, if you're willing to sit there and read my boring entries then I'm sure you're willing to take the time and read some decent writing and view some awesomely drawn sketches which is exactly what my website is about. I went to the movies with April and her friend Ana and Marie. (not sure if their names are spelled correctly) but yeah. We went to the Starplex theater (where it only costs $1 to see a movie!) we saw "The Ring 2". April found it quite amusing that I was laughing during half of the movie. I don't know why I was laughing, I just couldn't help it. I actually completely forgot that we were going to see a movie today. I realized it when it was like 12:45, and yesterday we agreed that we were going to catch the 1:15 showtime so yeah, my Dad was on the internet and I'm just thinking, "uh oh..." Turns out though that April's Mom didn't come home till past 1:30 and April called me up and asked if I wanted to catch the 4:15 one. So yeah we did.

Last night I found out the name of that jazz song I liked and who it's by. It's called "Two of a Kind" by Michael Lington. If you want to hear it you can go to http://www.michaellington.com and you can actually hear the song I fell in love with.

Alright, I'm hungry. I'm gonna go eat now.

Yay! My Last Day!

So yeah I am now out of school for the summer, woo hoo! No more waking up early in the morning... no more homework, no more tests, yes I am freeeeeee!!!!
It is still hot and I have a strong feeling that it's not gonna get any cooler until like... December.

I have a really wide range of preference in music. Lately I've been listening to Oasis 107.5 It's a jazz station on the radio. There is this one song that I like to listen to but I can never catch what it's called I always end up missing it when the DJs say what it's called and who it's by. They like to play a lot of Shade too, or is Sade, I don't know.

When I got home from school, I taught my parents how to play this card game I learned at school. It's called "Double Speed". My mom had a little trouble at first. My Dad was watching and I asked him if he wanted to play. I all thought I had to show him how it went but he ended up kicking my butt the first round, and the 2nd but I got him on the 3rd game :) My mom was on the side yelling out the pairs and my Dad was saying "Mommie, my ears!" yes, my Dad calls my mom "mommie". In fact, my mom calls my Dad "Daddie" or "Dad" of course with the Filipino accent but yeah.

I didn't mention this yet but the other day my mom got me a neck lace. It is black with a green cross. I've been wearing it ever since she got me it, I really like it. Here goes another picture.

I really am not all that religious, but yes, I do believe in God and in Jesus Christ.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://sharon06.blogspot.com/2005/05/yay-my-last-day.html' title='Yay! I used to live in Providence, Rhode Island. Ever since I moved here, (Texas) I didn't write in my blog. So I decided to start a whole new blog and yeah so here I am. School ends in 3 days, well, for me it ends in 2 becauseI'm exempted from my exams. (hm, for some reason it feels like I spelled that wrong but oh well).

I started this website called Serene Distraction. My goal is to make SD one of the most active online literature and arts community. We'll see what happens :)

I told my parents the other day that I want a silver necklace with a cross. The next day my dad got me this silver chain, but he couldn't find a small cross so he got me a 'S' piece. I think there is a way to post pictures on here. I'm gonna see if I can take a picture of it and post it in here.

So yeah I was talking to my friend Robert today. (he lives in Providence) and we worked out this weird - well i don't even know what to call it but we had it set up so he was on cam and i was on mic. So for today he was blind and mute. (he doesn't have a mic and i don't have a web cam). He now has recidulously long hair.
